welcome to htc!
Welcome to the HTC informational website run by supporters and alumni of the program! If you're looking for a creative, compelling theatrical experience in a supportive, loving environment -- either as an actor, techie, or audience member, you've come to the right place!
The Hannon Theatre Company is like no other young artist theatre program you will find anywhere. As our Artistic Director, Mr. Walter Wolfe is taking a well-deserved sabbatical during the 2022-2023 season. In the interim, Mr. John Kuhl '95 heads an amazing group of teachers and students in doing the work we all love. Our creative team of eight brilliant and accomplished theatre professionals elevate the teaching of acting, singing, designing, dancing, building, painting, and putting it all together to realize our contributions to the highest art form. Our student company, made up of the best and brightest teenagers in Los Angeles, dedicate themselves to working collaboratively, helping everyone succeed. Put both groups in a beloved old theatre and in no time, you have an inspirational production which audiences can't believe is performed and run by high school students. Everyone is proud to say HTC is simply the best darned young artist theatre program in Southern California.
Our alumni go on to earn scholarships to the best university college programs in America and beyond. At present, we have former company members on Broadway, in regional theatres, in opera houses, on television, and in films. They are also currently professionals in all manner of theatre professions -- teachers, technicians, and designers. But the focus of our theatre program is the development of one's creativity and critical thinking. We are proud of our graduates who are now leaders in every profession, working as men and women for others.
Join us! You are a part of our company whether you are seated in the audience at a show, or whether we meet you at an audition or first crew meeting. We welcome young men from within the Loyola community and young women from all over the Greater Los Angeles area.
If you have any questions about how you can participate in any way, do not hesitate to email Interim Artistic Director Mr. John Kuhl at jkuhl@loyolahs.edu. He will be happy to answer your questions and concerns. We look forward to having you join us soon!

Hannon taught me life skills that you just can't learn in the classroom. And gave me life long memories I'll never forget.

Hannon Theatre taught me to strive for artistic excellence and professionalism.
Joel Castro, HTC '01
Hannon doesn't just make people into great artists. It makes them into great people. The professional level of hard work and dedication instilled in the young actors and technical crew of Hannon stays with them for life.
