Alison Eckert (Foley) '97
HTC cultivated Alison’s passion and career for a life in the theatre. While at Hannon, she performed in six shows and worked on stage crew and costumes for a few others. Her favorite role was Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof ’97. She earned a B.M. in vocal performance from Loyola University New Orleans and an M.M. in musical theatre from The Boston Conservatory. Professionally, she began singing with the New Orleans Opera for two seasons and performing at regional theatres in Southern California. She went on to tour nationally with the Gilbert & Sullivan company Opera a la Carte. After graduate school, she landed the role of Franca in The Light in the Piazza at the SpeakEasy Stage Co. in Boston before moving to NYC. In 2012, Alison produced A Christmas Story, the Musical on Broadway and earned a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk nomination in 2013 for her work on that show. She recently partnered with the Autism Theatre Initiative at TDF whom she sponsors through her entrepreneurial venture with Rodan + Fields - alisonfoley.myrandf.com, which helps bring autism-friendly performances to the Broadway stage and to regional theatres around the country. She currently can be found singing nightly at the world-famous cabaret and piano bar Don’t Tell Mama in NYC and is looking for her next great musical to produce.
